I have heard their advertisement several times on WNZF, and I was in the area dealing with Palm Coast Utility Department a nightmare of a place with regards to customer service, but I digress. Collettis is a small 4-5 table Italian deli. Everything in this store is authentic, true Italian. I wasn't hungry so I just wanted something to sample, a very friendly man (owner I assume) suggested the bake ziti with a meatball and sausage to sample both meats. While waiting I started talking to another gentleman that had order take out. He said he had been here several times and never had a bad meal; tonight he was ordering chicken marsala and fettuccine alfredo. The ziti was very good, probably some of the best I have had. The meatball was just good nothing great, but the italian sausage was delicious. So give colletti a try. The store is located in a dead shopping center so there is limited foot traffic for new customers. All most forgot, colletti's threw in a half loaf of fresh bread with my order too. Very good bread.

My wife and I ate there for three days, every meal. We had sandwhiches , pizza, canoles, you name it. I ate in original Italian households as a child. This place is phenomenal. It's been two years but we still "jones" for the food as we live in Seattle. Papa and Mamma are gems. Chris and Tommy are the best! Chris said we were "outta control", but the food was the best !

I found this place using Yelp! I saw the fresh bread and mozzarella made daily and had to try it. Excellent results! More variety than you would expect from a deli in terms of pasta selections. And, the sandwiches are enough for two. The flavor was great. Why would anyone go to a chain when you could go to this place. I had the chicken cutlet with balsamic glaze sandwich - I cannot recall the name - but it was well worth whatever the cost was. The bread was among the best I have tasted. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Why is it that we lost this style bread in this country for so many years? Artisan bread is an understatement. You need to take the drive to this place. Don't waste your time or calories on some chain. Location - Utility Drive - a strange location next to City public works in a strip center. Palm Coast is home to the hidden nondescript strip centers, and this location won't surprise you. Family in Palm Coast - now I have a reason to visit. If you are heading up 95 its worth the stop. And, they are open on Saturdays now.

If you're looking for a genuine Italian deli, this is The Real Deal! Just happened to spot Colletti's while driving north on 95 and since it sounded like a more interesting lunch option than Cracker Barrel or McDonald's, took the time to meander a little over a half mile down Old Kings Rd from Palm Coast Pkwy to find it. WELL worth the minor detour! Everything on the menu is homemade, fresh, and the portions are generous. We had the "Joe the Barber" - baby artichoke, homemade mozzarella (best I've ever tasted!), tomato, basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar - and the "Bobby Bobby" - grilled sausage, peppers and onions - both served on homemade Italian bread. A real toss up as to which sandwich was more delicious! I would go out of my way to eat at Colletti's again. Don't miss it if you're in the area!

This little gem is off the busy road. It's worth a visit anytime during the day. The staff make you feel right at home, and the good is delicious. I got the breakfast sandwich, which has ham, potatoes, eggs, tomato, and onion on a fresh baked ciabatta roll. The roll is homemade, fresh and hot. Everything is homemade, and they take the time to make every meal taste original. Best homemade Italian food around.

This place was sold. Now South American food, Yelp keeps wanting more information on what I think of the place, doesn't "it doesn't exist anymore" count for anything?

Great sandwiches, daily specials, & Italian food! But they are no longer at this location. Don't know if they have relocated or just closed down. New owner has Venezuelan menu. If anyone knows if Colletti's has relocated, please post new address! Thanks.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
